Your Troop or Pack can help send boys to camp and earn money for camp improvements!

What: The Root Beer Float Sale is an annual Order of the Arrow fundraiser held twice a year, and is taking place this Saturday, September 12, at 38 different Kroger stores around the council.  What's special about our sale is that while we recommend a donation of $1, the floats are actually free to anyone who would like one.  All donations received will go towards camperships for Summer Camp, Cub Camp, NYLT, and High Adventures.  Any money left over will be spent on camp improvements. Your unit is needed to help man a station at your local Kroger store.  Scouts will make and sell tasty Root Beer Floats at the entrance of the stores.

Why: This fundraiser helps continue the awesome camping programs in the Dan Beard Council. 100% of the money raised at the sale goes straight into camp projects and camperships.  Camperships are need-based scholarships that are given to Scouts to attend any DBC summer camp that may not have been able to attend otherwise.  By working this fundraiser, you are helping to guarantee that all Scouts, regardless of finances, are able to attend camp.

By working this sale, Scouts can earn service hours for rank, camperships, or other requirements.  Your troop or pack will also benefit by promoting Scouting and camping in your local community.

Where: At the Kroger store of your choice!  Every Kroger store located within the council is available to be part of the sale.

Who: Any troop or pack may volunteer to man a store.  Each store should be covered with 2-3 adults and 2-3 Scouts.  Your unit may cover the store throughout the day in several shifts.

Ku-Ni-Eh Lodge, Order of the Arrow, of the Dan Beard Council manages and coordinates this fundraiser for our camps and Scouts.  Through Ku-Ni-Eh Lodge's leadership and your help, every dollar raised from this sale will go to fund camp programs.  Some of the past projects that have been funded by the sale include:
